February 2010 CAPSC meeting and AGM.
Everyone is invited to our February meeting and AGM. Dr. Stephen Murgatroyd, a well respected key note speaker on assessment and educational reform, will be speaking about the future of education in Alberta. With his in-depth understanding of educational policy making, Dr. Murgatroyd will shed light on upcoming changes to the School Act, recent changes to the math / science diploma exams, and shifts we might expect to see in our education system over the coming years. We hope you'll join us! For more information, please check out Dr. Murgatroyd's blog.
We will also conduct our AGM at our Februrary meeting, including the election of a new Executive team. We would love to add some new individuals to our Executive team. The time commitment can be as little or as much as you'd like. Meetings are only once a month and generally include coffee and treats! We'd love to have your voice and outlook help shape the next year for CAPSC. Please contact us if you are interested!
The meeting will take place from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at AE Cross School. Date is TBD shortly: either Wednesday, February 17 or February 24. (Sorry for any confusion - the final date will be posted here by this coming Monday).
CAPSC is still accepting membership cheques for the 2009-2010 school year.
Just $40 per year per school keeps you up to date, informed, and helps us make sure your opinions are heard at the CBE and Alberta Education! For more information, click here.
